Delete your data.
Everything Ron knows is on your iPhone, so removing it is something you do rather than something you request. Here is exactly how, and what happens.
There is no account to delete
Ron does not create an account on our servers, because there are no servers holding your household. We never receive your data, so there is no copy of it for us to remove and no deletion request for you to file. Everything is on your device, under your control, from the first time you open the app.
Remove individual items
Chores, schedule items, household members and conversation history can each be deleted inside Ron, in the place you created them. Deleting an item removes it from the device immediately.
Clear everything, keep the app
- Open Ron.
- Go to Settings → Data.
- Select Erase all data.
- Confirm.
This wipes the household, its members, all chores and schedules, and your full conversation history, returning Ron to the state it was in before setup. It is permanent and there is no undo.
Remove everything, including the app
Deleting Ron from your iPhone removes its stored data along with it — the same as any other app. Touch and hold the app icon, choose Remove App, then Delete App.
One thing to check first: your backups
If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or to a computer, Ron’s data is inside those backups on the terms you have already set with Apple. Deleting the app does not reach into an existing backup. If you want the data gone from there too, manage or remove the backup in your Apple account settings — we have no access to it and cannot do it for you.
Your subscription
If you have a paid subscription purchased through the App Store, deleting the app does not cancel it. Subscriptions are managed by Apple — cancel yours in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Do that before you delete the app.
Questions
If you want to understand what Ron holds before you clear it, the privacy policy lists it item by item. For anything else, email privacy@getron.app.
If you have written to us or joined the launch list, those are the only things we hold that are yours, and we will delete them on request.
