Privacy policy.

The unusual version: there is almost nothing to disclose, because your household never reaches us in the first place.

Last updated August 17, 2026

This policy covers the Ron mobile application and this website, both published by KF Digital Studio LLC, an Indiana limited liability company.

The short version

Ron stores your household on your iPhone and nowhere else. The schedules, the chores, the names of the people in your family, every word you have said to Ron — all of it is written to your device. We operate no servers that hold it. We never receive it, so we cannot read it, sell it, hand it to anyone, or lose it in a breach.

That includes the thinking. Ron reasons using Apple’s on-device foundation models, which run on your iPhone. Your family’s details are not uploaded to us or to an AI provider in order to answer a question, because the question is answered on the phone in your hand.

This is a property of how the app is built, not a promise about how we intend to behave. There is no copy of your data on our side to change our minds about.

What Ron stores on your device

All of the following lives in Ron’s storage on your iPhone, under iOS’s app protections:

  • Names or nicknames of household members, and their role (for example, parent or child).
  • Chores, tasks, assignments, and completion history.
  • Schedule items, reminders, and recurring routines.
  • Notes and preferences you give Ron so it can act on your behalf.
  • Your conversations with Ron, so it can hold context and follow through on standing instructions.

If your iPhone is backed up — to iCloud or to a computer — then Ron’s data is included in that backup on whatever terms you have already set with Apple. That backup is yours and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not ours. We have no access to it.

AI processing

Ron uses the Foundation Models framework built into iOS to understand what you ask and decide what to do. That model runs locally on your device.

We do not send your content to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other model provider, and we do not send it to ourselves. There is no prompt leaving your phone carrying your family’s information, which is why Ron keeps working when you have no signal.

What we receive

From the app: nothing. No account, no telemetry of your household, no analytics on what you asked Ron to do.

There are three narrow exceptions, and none involve the app:

  • If you email us. Support and privacy mail reaches our inbox and contains whatever you chose to put in it. We keep it only as long as needed to deal with your question.
  • If you join the launch list on this website. We hold the email address you typed, and use it for the launch announcement and nothing else.
  • App Store purchases and diagnostics, via Apple. Apple sells the app and processes any payment; we never see your card details. If you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in your iOS settings, Apple may make crash and usage reports available to us. Those come from Apple, are not collected by Ron, and do not contain your household content.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or share your personal information. We could not if we wanted to — we do not hold it.
  • We do not serve advertising and use no ad identifiers.
  • We do not track you across apps or websites.
  • We do not train any model on your data.

Children’s privacy and Kids Mode

Ron is designed for adults who manage a household. It is not directed to children as a general audience app.

Kids Mode is an optional feature that a parent or guardian can enable to give a child a restricted view of their own chores and schedule. It is off unless a parent turns it on, and it is unlocked with a four-digit PIN that is set and stored on the device.

Everything in the section above applies here with more force: information about a child never leaves the family’s iPhone. A child’s first name and their assignments are stored on the device alongside the rest of the household. We do not receive it, we do not process it, and we could not disclose it to a third party if we were asked to.

We do not ask children for contact details, we do not serve advertising to children, and we do not use children’s information for marketing or profiling.

A parent or guardian can review, correct or delete anything held about their child from within the app at any time, or remove all of it at once by deleting Ron. Practical guidance is on the Kids Mode page.

Deleting your data

You do not have to ask us, and there is no request for us to process — we have nothing to delete on our side.

Removing individual items, or clearing everything, is done inside the app. Deleting Ron from your iPhone removes its data with it. See deleting your data for the specifics, including the one thing to check first if you have a subscription.

Your rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR, UK GDPR, and US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal information a company holds about you, and to object to its processing.

For the app, those rights are satisfied by design rather than by request: the only copy of your information is on your own device, already under your control. For the narrow exceptions listed above — your emails to us, and the launch list — write to privacy@getron.app and we will respond within the period the applicable law requires.

Security

Because your household never leaves your iPhone, its security is your device’s security: the passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS’s protection of app storage. Keeping your device locked and up to date is the single most useful thing you can do. The Kids Mode PIN is stored on the device.

There is no server of ours to breach, and no central database of families to steal. To report a vulnerability in the app or this site, see the security policy.

This website

getron.app sets no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across sites. Your light or dark theme preference is kept in your browser’s local storage and never leaves your device. The only information you can give this site is an email address for the launch announcement, and that is used for the announcement and nothing else.

Changes

If we make material changes, we will update the date above and notify you in the app before the changes take effect. The on-device commitment above is the product, so if it ever changed you would be told plainly and in advance rather than by a quiet edit to this page.
